Macintosh OS 8.x and 9.x - Reconfiguring TCP/IP Settings

1. Click on the Apple option on the upper left of the screen. Select Control Panel and select TCP/IP. After the TCP/IP window opens, click on File up at the top of the. Then click on Configurations.

 

2. Click the Options button, the Option window should appear. Make sure the Redial option is set to "Redial main number only". You can adjust how many times the number will redial and how many seconds your comuter waits between dialing attempts.

3. Click once on Default to highlight it, then click the Make Active button in the lower-right corner of the window. This should take you back to the main TCP/IP window.

4. On the TCP/IP window, confirm that Connect via: is set to PPP. Make sure that Configure is set to Using PPP Server. In the Name server addr.: field make sure the IP numbers are set to 63.174.244.1 and 63.174.244.25 and the Search domains: is set to chilitech.com or chilitech.net if you are in the 570 telephone areacode.

5. After the necessary changes have been made. Close the TCP/IP window, a window asking if you would like to Save changes should appear. Click Save.
