Macintosh OS 8.x and 9.x - Reconfiguring Remote Access or PPP Settings 1. Click on the Apple option on the upper left of the screen. Select Control Panel and select Remote Access or PPP. Confirm that your ChiliTech Username and Password is entered correctly. Click here, to find a local access number for your area.
2. Click the Options button, the Option window should appear. Make sure the Redial option is set to "Redial main number only". You can adjust how many times the number will redial and how many seconds your comuter waits between dialing attempts.
3. Click the Connection tab. Make sure the only option checked is "Flash icon in menu bar while connected".
4. Click the Protocol tab. Make certain that Use protocol is set to "PPP". Check the "Connect automatically when starting TCP/IP applications", "Allow error correction and compression in modem" and "Use TCP header compression" checked in.
